As a child, I had a big slate chalkboard and a couple old schoolhouse desks set up in our unfinished basement. I recruited the neighborhood children to come to "school" there on the weekends and in the summer. Today, I am as
excited to teach as I was when I "taught" in my basement forty years ago! I love watching children learn! My passion is helping children learn to read! It is an amazing feeling to help children make sense of letters and sounds, like pieces to a, and see them learn to read!
It is a joy to guide children in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential!
I love McGraw because the students, parents, and staff take pride in learning through inquiry, persevering, and collaboration! Walk through our school and your five senses will learn what I.B. is all about!
I love to play tennis and travel! I'm an avid reader of historical fiction. Most of all, I love spending time with my family in all of our activities. My husband is a tennis teacher and we have a son and daughter both in college.
****My last name, Krbec, is pronounced /ker-bets/.
"The Pillars of the Earth" and it's sequel "World Without End" by Ken Follet. I love the historical imagery!
Books are the best teachers!
