About Me
What I like about teaching is...:

I believe teaching is one of the most rewarding careers out there! I am truly lucky to have the opportunity to help each and every student learn and grow from day to day. Teaching in this district allows creativity to provide fun and differentiated lessons for everyone. It's always so much fun for me to get to know all my students and encourage everyone to help each other succeed!

What I like about my school is...:

At McGraw, everyone works together to do what is best for each child!

I am also extremely excited to be teaching through IB. I love how the focus is to teach the whole child, targeting not only the curriculum but also the learner profile traits, attitudes, and skills. Using the inquiry approach to learning through thematic units allows students to gain a deeper understanding of the content. I personally still love learning, and I can't wait to pass on the life-long learner attitude to my students!

Hobbies and interests include...:

I love spending my free-time outside with friends and family! I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and fishing. I also like to cook/bake, read, and hang out with my furry friends!

My favorite book is...:

I absolutely love the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio!

Something most people do not know about me is...:

I have traveled to Japan. My mom moved there when she was a year old, and didn't move back to the states until she was 17 years old. I have cousins, aunts, and uncles who still live there. I hope to go back in the near future!

My favorite quote is...:

"Education is not the filling of the pail, but the lighting of a fire" -William Butler Yeats

My Classroom
About My Classroom:

Creating a safe classroom environment in my room is one of my top priorities.  Each and every student's thoughts are valued and appreciated, which allows students to participate and learn at their highest potential. I hold students to a high expectation, but also love to have fun and laugh throughout the day!
